Stroud Against the Cuts has organised this meeting to draw attention to the threats to the NHS at national and county-wide levels.
The speaker Professor Wendy Savage has campaigned for many years against the increasing privatisation of the NHS and is Co-Chair of the national Keep Our NHS Public organisation.

Professor Wendy Savage (MBBCh, FRCOG, MSc (Public Health), Hon Dsc) was an elected member of the General Medical Council for over 16 years and has won the BMJ Group Lifetime Achievement Award. She is a former member of the Council of the BMA. She is an eminent member and former president of the Medical Women’s Federation and champion of women’s rights.
